North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-il has died. All major news agencies have confirmed this. The death was announced on national Korean television by a very emotional person who read a prepared statement.
The announcer (who was wearing an all-black outfit), said that Kim Jong IL had died on Saturday, December 17th 2011 of “physical and mental over-work”.

Kim Jong is known to have suffered a heart-attack in 2008. He recovered from that (i.e. didn’t die of it) but has not been seen in public since then.
Who will Succeed Kim Jong-il as North Korea’s Dictator?
It is widely believed that Kim Jong-il’s 3rd son – Kim Jong-woon – is the designated successor to the dictatorial throne. Little is known about Kim Jong-woon, even his age is roughly estimated to be somewhere in the 20s.
