Huffington Post continues to churn out less than stellar blog posts that are quite clearly aimed solely at taking advantage of two things
- Sucking it’s loyal users from the direct traffic (people who enter URL directly or have the link bookmarked) in with terrible content and
- Creating useless content written for commonly searched keywords / terms on the internet with complete disregard to providing useful information to the drive-by search results readers.
I haven’t visited the site since President Obama won the elections in 2008 for the same two reasons. The quality of the posts on ‘Huff Po‘ have been on a steady decline since the end of 2008 and I don’t have time to waste on content that does not, in some way, help me or enrich my knowledge.
But today’s post on “Tips for Women to Eliminate Suffering from PMS” takes the cake. My pre-wife, who happened to see the post somewhere, showed it to me saying
Since when did MEN, who surely have never experienced PMS, profess to know everything about it and then go on to give tips on PMS Pain Control?
I looked at the article by Mark Hyman and the first thing that came to my mind was a scene from the movie Kalifornia. It goes like this.

EARLY: You never killed anyone have you Bri’?
Brian: (shakes head): NO.
EARLY: You never even seen anybody killed, right?
( Brian stops eating and looks at Early)
BRIAN: What are you getting at?
(Early leans closer to him)
EARLY: You wanna tell me how’n the hell you gonna write a book ’bout somethin’ you don’t know nothin’ ’bout?
Of course there is this remote possibility that the author of that post – Mark Hyman – used to be a woman and experienced PMS at some stage in her life before getting a sex change.
Assuming that is not the case and Mark Hyman has been a male all his life, what I would like to know is this.
