It is now exactly 8 weeks to the San Francisco Marathon. Did you sign up, but have still not done any kind of proper disciplined training ? Don’t despair. Bob Glover, author of The Runner’s Handbook, has a modified plan that will get you race ready in a mere ten weeks.
In his “The Hurried Man’s Guide To: Marathon Training” article, Bob (interviewed by Scott Frampton @ Esquire magazine) details a full 10 week training schedule to prepare you to be ready to run a marathon
The 10 week program includes leg-saving exercises like swimming and biking and strategic running that makes you increase your weekly mileage to upto 25 miles on week 7, and then a tapering down to about 12 miles on the week before the big race day !
