Going Rogue : An American Life – Sarah Palin Book Review #2

I’ve lived in Alaska for 55 years. I’m a registered independent. I’ve attended meetings with Governor Palin. I know the lady, not the image she projects. I’ve got no axe to grind; Palin is now largely irrelevant to Alaska.

Palin has nothing but contempt for the chain of people that believed in her potential and facilitated her rise from small town politics to the national scene. She takes a very strange pride in tearing down others–in a pattern that apparently goes way back to her highschool days. She never takes responsibility for her own self-sabotage. She claims to be qualified to lead; and yet she does nothing to demonstrate substance.

This book will take you back to junior high again.

"Learn to Wink. It will save you from everything !"

"Learn to Wink. It will save you from everything !"

If she EVER tries to run for election for anything in future I will work my fingers to the bone for her opposition. I read this book thinking that maybe, just maybe she would attempt to tell an honest story but she is incapable of honesty. She doesn’t deserve the attention she is getting and certainly doesn’t deserve to profit off of the lies and half truths she and her ghost writer penned in this factless waste of time.

This should be classified as fiction because it is NOT a true.

A fresh turd from a fine example of everything that is wrong with America. The fact that this dimwit has so many fans on the right tells you everything you need to know about the modern anti-intellectual conservative movement.

Sarah Palin did not write this book. Lynn Vincent wrote the book, but the marketing tries to hide this. For example, the only place in the Amazon page the TRUE author’s name is even mentioned is in readers’ reviews. Sarah Palin couldn’t read a book, let alone write one. . What a load of garbage. The cover would have one believe she wrote the book herself – omitting mention of her ghost writer, Lynn Vincent.

From out of all the misstatements, narcissism, spin and distortions that make this biography so embarrassing to read, one indisputable fact emerges: It’s pretty clear ex-governor Palin would still be a low-profile politician in the frozen north, but for candidate McCain and his staff. Those would be the same folks she attacks so fiercely in this biography.

Which brings to mind Mark Twain’s famous quote: “If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.”

Disclaimer: I have not read this book. This review – only mashed together and edited lovingly by me – is made possible thanks to generous contributions on amazon.com by the following reviewers. 100% of this review is from the reviews of these awesome folks !
